Inserting a file (for example, letter of information)

Ensure files are accessible. Resources suggested by the McMaster Accessibility Hub:

To add a file such as a letter of information:

  1. Highlight the word or group of words where you would like to insert the file.
  2. Click on the Link icon.  

To add a file such as a letter of information, highlight the word or group of words where you would like to insert the file. Then click on the Link icon.  

  1. In the Link box, select Browse Server

In the Link box, select Browse Server


If you've already uploaded your file to this survey, it should be listed. Proceed to step 7.


If you have not uploaded your file to this survey:

  1. Click on Upload

  1. Navigate to where the file is stored on your computer
  2. Click Open
  3. The file should be listed in the Server box. Double click on the file to insert.

  1. This action will take you back to the Link box. The file should be listed in the URL box.
  2. Click OK.

  1. The word or group of words you selected to insert the file should now be blue & underlined.
  2. Save the question.
