Main Printers

You can print to the shared departmental printers from your laptop or self-administered desktop using Windows print queues on the departmental server. Windows, OS X and linux systems are all capable of printing to these Windows (aka SMB) queues. Note that you will need an account on the server in order to access the Windows/SMB printer queues.

If you are using one of the linux workstations administered by RHPCS then queues are already set up for you and you don't need to add any.

Scanning

The HPLJ M630 can scan one- or two-sided documents and email the images to you as a PDF file.

Place the document to be scanned in the top sheet feeder or on the glass plate, press the E-MAIL button and enter your name (first name first) or email address. The printer scans only one side by default; change the source options to two-sided to scan both sides.
