Install laser326 on vista

Download HP Universal Postscript Driver for Windows 32bit or 64bit. Run the downloaded exe file. This will extract the HP Universal Postscript Driver. Remember its location.

Now start to install the printer.

Start->control panel->printers->Add a Printer->Add a local printer
select "Create a new port", choose "Standard TCP/IP Port".

Click next.
Select Device type: TCP/IP Device, type in host name: physprt
Type in Port Name: laser326,

Click "Next".
Select Custom, click Settings...

Select Protocol: LPR, Fill in Queue Name: laser326. Select "LPR Byte Count Enabl ed".

Click "OK"->"Next"
The driver selection windows pops up. Click "Have Disk.." Browse to the folder you have extracted the HP universal postscript driver. Select any .inf file and click "Open" and then "OK". Pick "HP Universal Printing PS" and then click "OK". Type in printer name laser326, Click "Next". Wait for the printer to get installed, and then click "Finish".

Right click the newly created printer "laser326", and select "Properties". Select "Ports" panel, and un-check "Enable bidirectional support". On the same panel, select "Device Settings". Select "Letter" for "Printer auto select", "Manual Feed in Tray 1", "Tray 1" and "Tray 2". Set "Available Postscript Memory" to 32767.

followed by "OK". Click "Finish".
