Printing overview

The Physics Department provides the following printers for departmental use. For printing rates, please talk to the Physics Administrator. Please click on the desired printer queue in the table below to see setup instructions.

NOTES:

You should ensure that you are on the McMaster network (via Mac-WiFi, the McMaster VPN, or ethernet cable in the Physics VLAN) before trying to connect to these printers.

There may be other printers that are not listed, but connecting to them would follow the same procedure as for the printers listed above (just with a different printer queue name). 

If your printer was set up successfully using a previous method, you don't need to redo that setup again.

Make sure to use PHYSICS\your-physserv-username when trying to authenticate printers via smb connections.

Xerox AltaLink C8045

In addition to the departmental printers in the above table, there is also a Xerox fleet printer in ABB-245 (not managed by RHPCS). You'll need to provide your accounting code in order to print. If you don't know your accounting code, please contact the Physics & Astronomy Main Office.
