How to install hpe241 driver for windows 7

Download upd-ps-x32-5.5.0.12834.exe (for 32 bit system), or upd-ps-x64-5.5.0.12834.exe (for 64 bit system) . Double click the downloaded file to run it. Click on Unzip. This will extract the contents to "c:\HP Universal PS driver". Click OK after files get extracted. It will also launch the install program. Click Yes to allow it to run. Click Yes to the "End User License Agreement". Choose "Traditional Mode".


Click install -> add a local printer ->Create a new port -> Standard TCP/IP Port -> Next.
Fill in Hostname or ip address: "physprt", Port name: hpe241 , click Next.


Select Custom, Click on Settings...


Select Protocol:LPR, Queue Name: hpe241, check LPR Byte Counting Enabled. Click OK.


Click Next. Select HP Universal Printing PS (v5.5.0), click Next.


Fill in Printers name: hpe241. Click Next. Select "Do not share this printer", Click Next -> Finish -> Finish.

Finally, configure the driver:
Right click on hpe241 icon, select "Printer Properties". Click on Ports tab, un-check "Enable bidirectional support".


Click on "Device Settings". Move down to "Installable options"
Set tray 3 as "installed"
Set Job Storage as "Disabled"


Move back to the top, set Tray3 as "Letter", Set Available Postscript memory to 32767.



Click "OK"
