How to install the printer driver for the colour laser printer in ABB241 for windows XP

If you have not done this before, first enable "Print services for Unix".

Control panel -> add/remove programs -> add/remove windows components.
Tick on "Other Network File and Print Services", Next -> Finish

Next, download clj4700ps.zip and unzip to an empty folder.

Now to install the driver.
controller panel -> Printers and Faxes -> Add a printer -> Next ->
Select "Local printer attached to this computer" (yes, really select to add local printer, although you may think it should be a network printer) -> Next ->
Create a new port -> LPR port -> Next ->
Fill in [physprt] [clj] -> OK ->
Have Disk->Browse... -> goto the folder with unziped files -> Open -> OK -> Next
Select "No" for not use this printer as default -> Next ->
select "Do not shared this printer" -> Next ->
Select "Yes" for print a test page" -> Next->Finish

Finally, configure the driver:
Right click on "HP Color LaserJet4700 PS" icon, select "Properties".
Click on "Device Settings".
Set "Tray 3" to "Installed" in Installable Options section
Back to near top,
set "Tray 3" to "Letter" in Form to Tray Assignment section and then press OK
Set memory to 288MB
This is the end of driver configuration.

To print to transparencies, choose "Properties.." in the print dialog. In the Paper/Quality tab,
select source is: Tray 2

To print to double sides of paper, choose "Properties.." in the print dialog. In the Finishing tab,
tick "Print On Both Sides" box.
