How to install hpe241 driver while using physics common wireless access points

hpe241 is a "HP laserjet enterprise m602x" printer in ABB241.

Windows 10

Click Windows start button. In the search area, type "control panel"
Click on "Devices and Printers"
and then click
"Add a printer"
choose
"The printer that I want isn't listed"
"Select a shared printer by name"

Click "Next"

Ignore "No drifer found" warning

Click "OK"

Choose "HP Laserjet Enterprise 600 M601 M602 M603 Postscript Class Driver"

Click "OK"

Accept the default printer name

Click "Next"


If hpe241 is your default printer, tick
Set as the default printer
Click "Finish"

Right click on the newly created printer, "hpe241 on physprt", choose printer properties. Device Settings

Click "OK"

Windows 7 (similar for vista)

Download upd-ps-x32-5.5.0.12834.exe (for 32 bit system), or upd-ps-x64-5.5.0.12834.exe (for 64 bit system) . Double click the downloaded file to run it. Click on Unzip. This will extract the contents to "c:\HP Universal PS driver". Click OK after files get extracted. It will also launch the install program. Click Yes to allow it to run. Click Yes to the "End User License Agreement". Choose "Traditional Mode".


Click on "Add a network, wireless or Bluetooth printer", Click on "Stop" -> "The printer that I want isn't listed" Enter "\\physprt\hpe241" in "Select a shared printer by name"

Click "Next". A window pops up states that "no driver found". Click "OK". In Manufacturer, select "HP". In Printers, Select "HP Universal Printing PS (v5.5)"


Click "OK".
Click "Next".
Click "Print a test page"
Click "Close" to dismiss the test page popup
Click "Finish" to HP Univeral Printing Installer.

Finally, configure the driver:
Right click on hpe241 icon, select "Printer Properties". Click on "Device Settings". Move down to "Installable options"
Set tray 3 as "installed"
Set Job Storage as "Disabled"


Move back to the top, set Tray3 as "Letter", Set Available Postscript memory to 32767.



Click "OK"

Windows XP

Download upd-ps-x32-5.5.0.12834.exe (for 32 bit system), or upd-ps-x64-5.5.0.12834.exe (for 64 bit system) . Double click the downloaded file and click on Unzip will extract the contents to "C:\HP Universal PS driver". It will also launch the install program. Click Yes to "End User License Agreement". Choose "Traditional Mode".


Click Install -> Next, choose "A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer". Click Next. Select "Connect to this printer". In the box below it, type

\\physprt\hpe241


Click Next. Say Yes to the warning for about automatically install print driver. A window pops up states that the server does not have the correct driver installed. Click "OK". The driver selection window pops up. Choose "HP Universal Printing PS (v5.50)"


Click OK->Next->Finish->Finish.

Finally, configure the driver:
Right click on hpe241 icon, select "Properties".
Click on "Device Settings". Move down to "Installable options"
Set tray 3 as "Installed"
Set Duplex unit as "Installed"
Set Job Storage as "Disabled"
Set Printer auto select, Manual Feed Tray 1, Tray 1, Tray 2 and Tray 3 all to "Lette" in Form to tray assignment
Set available Postscript Memory to 32767

Click OK.
