Adding a Departmental Printer Queue - Intro

You can print to the shared departmental printers from your laptop or self-administered desktop using Windows print queues on the departmental server. Windows, OS X and linux systems are all capable of printing to these Windows (aka SMB) queues. Note that you will need an account on the server in order to access the Windows/SMB printer queues.

If you are using one of the linux workstations administered by RHPCS then queues are already set up for you and you don't need to add any.
