Printing from Graphical Unix Applications

Linux applications may present a dialogue box with a drop-down list of printers, or you may be asked which command to use. You can use lpr, or you can specify kprinter (if using KDE), which will open a dialogue box with a list of printers and various control features. Note that you should change the printing system from lp to CUPS the first time you run kprinter.
