Where can visitors print and scan?
There are several places on-campus to print / scan.
Departmental options
If you wish to print or scan documents from within the department, check with your department host if they have their own printer/scanner or access to a departmental printer/scanner. Alternatively, ask your host to request a departmental account from RHPCS and then connect to the printers/scanners once you arrive.
Things to keep in mind:
- printing is not free and your host will be charged for your printing
- if printing to departmental printers, you may need an account on the departmental server
- before you can use departmental printers/scanners, you must first add a departmental print/scan queue to your machine.
If you are going to be using one of the linux workstations found in some visitors' offices, then items 2 and 3 are not a problem.
