Where can visitors print and scan?

There are several places on-campus to print / scan.

Departmental options

If you wish to print or scan documents from within the department, check with your department host if they have their own printer/scanner or access to a departmental printer/scanner. Alternatively, ask your host to request a departmental account from RHPCS and then connect to the printers/scanners once you arrive. 

Things to keep in mind:

1. printing is not free and your host will be charged for your printing
2. if printing to departmental printers, you may need an account on the departmental server
3. before you can use departmental printers/scanners, you must first add a departmental print/scan queue to your machine.

If you are going to be using one of the linux workstations found in some visitors' offices, then items 2 and 3 are not a problem.

Campus-wide options

1. Library: McMaster Libraries offer a range of printing and scanning options
2. MSU Underground Media + Design: McMaster Students Union offers printing and scanning for all
